Technology NO MSA YES

Week of March 16th

How can I possibly think of technology this week? It is the biggest test of the year MSA Reading . I always worry about making AYP. Our teachers are the best. They go above and beyond. Nothing can take the place of the good teaching that is happening daily. I am 100% sure that we are going to make AYP for the total population. My concern is for subgroups. Sometimes the subgroup is so very small that even with the confidence band one student truly makes a difference. I think the focus on computer centers will pay off. We are lucky to have a technology team that keeps our computers working and keeps appropriate activities available. For two years there has been a focus on how to use the computer centers for meaningful student activities. I am betting technology helped us get there. Next year I will continue to see if we can do more for our ESOIL students with technology.
